A Time to use your talents & gifts.

Everyone understands that with the Covid 19 pandemic around us now,the world has completely changed and things are done and viewed from a different spectrum.

Now that people are quarantined in their homes and no close contacts with others,many will want to believe that you still can’t do much because the systems, routines have been disrupted and the thought of adjusting to the new reality is complex.

However,i have good news for you that this is the best time that an opportunity has presented itself that you can now pause and ask yourself;Is there a way i can contribute and positively add value to self,family and community?

And the answer will be a resounding YES since you possess distinct gifts and talents inside of you that you were born with and most likely have not be tapped into.So take time and purpose to start now to act and do that which you believe is in you without worrying out how it will turn out.

Have the confidence and trust that you will start doing that thing that you feel good and love doing,that which you feel passionate about.If it is encouraging start with your household and extend it to your neighbor. If it is sewing that face mask,then start and as you start you will be amazed to discover that you were endowed with those talents and gifts and you had only sat on them for along time.

Can you make use of this opportunity that you have free for soon when this pandemic is over people will get back to being too busy and all sorts of excuses will be offered why can’t sit down and have time to spare.

Stay wise,awake and creative during this time and above all remain in PRAYER and in touch with God in your relationship.

Leave your battles to the Lord!

You know there are times in life you probably come across people who would want to let you know how much they dislike you,you can’t measure to their status,who feel that they are strong physically to deal with you or how they feel about your looks,background.If that happens to be you,its okay and you don’t have to beat yourself that you ain’t measuring to their standards or opinions.

There was a man in the book of 1 Samuel 17 by the name Goliath the Giant who kept taunting Israel day after day to choose a man to fight with him.By his constant taunts,Israel was greatly dismayed and afraid of him.A young herdsboy by the name David when he showed up on the scene,Goliath cursed him and even said how he was going to kill David and give his flesh to the birds of the air and animals.So how did David respond?

“You come to me with a sword,with a spear, and with a javelin.But i come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts,the God of the armies of Israel,whom you have defied“

The outcome was that David took his sling with one smooth stone and aimed it at Goliath’s forehead and released it and it hit him and down he went dead.So what happened with his scares,threats,tauntings,curses that he had spewed so much on Israel?He was gone because he had trusted in himself and with the weapons he had not knowing that the battles are fought by God and He can use any means to give victory to those who trust in Him faithfully.

Leave all your battles to Him,don’t fight for you won’t win BUT HE WINS if you let HIM do the work.

Progress on staying on Course!!

In April 11.2019,i talked on the importance of getting our priorities right so as to stay on course to achieve our goals.Its now five(5)months down the line and i wonder how much progress you have made before the year comes to an  end in the next three(3)months.

Paul the Apostle echoed these sentiments in great detail to his spiritual son Timothy in 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 when he said “I have fought a good fight,i have finished the course,and i have kept the faith;Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,which the Lord,the righteous judge,shall give me at that day;and not to me only,but unto all them also that love His appearing”

Quicks points to note from the above two verses;

1.There is always something we run,work for and its not for nothing

2.You must decide on how to engage yourself in this mission; whether playing by the rules or against them.

3.You must look forward to finish or accomplish the race set before you otherwise it will be futile to start and abandon it on the way for that will be a big lose.

4.For every race or mission accomplished, there is a reward for your sweat or effort,time,sacrifice.You must feel encouraged with this assurance.

5.The day of rewarding will be a great day for you and all that ran and kept their faith in accordance with the laid down rules.

Wait a moment and ask yourself if you are still on course or slowed down the tempo or contemplating to quit or hang on to the very end? Its only three(3)months before 2020 and what will be your stock at the end of the year 2019?

Half-way through with the Year!

So what do you think could be the issue here? I am glad you have asked that question and i will try to explain the problem.At the start of the year,most likely they never sat down to make a list of what they wanted to do,the prioritize of what needed to be done first and what follows next and going on,the time frame when each was to be achieved,the key steps to follow in executing them and finally who was to oversee all these.These are very important issues that must be taken in seriously if one is to do something of substance and fulfilling by the close of the year .

I am sure that there are many people out there who are wondering how the year has moved so fast and yet can’t precisely point out with certainty of what they have accomplished so far.

You can salvage the remaining part of the year and make it productive,and embark on a determined mission to turn your loses into gains and by the end of the year ,you would realize that you are not where you were before and this will be a plus to your account as you come to the close of the year .

 My word of advice to you just incase you are stuck and have become not so good productive learn to -Discipline,Discipline,Discipline yourself and make very realistic and simple goals and start the Journey today!
