They learnt by following the Master!

Ever asked yourself of this question!

Which is the best way to learn from your mentor?

Jesus called men from their businesses during His ministry life.He met men and said ‘follow me’ and immediately they left everything and followed Him without any questions or hesitation. They then followed Him,walked with Him,ate with Him,prayed with Him,slept with Him,sacrificed things with Him,faced opposition with Him, rejoiced with Him and the list is endless.

I submit to you that these men(disciples)were willing to learn, sacrifice their lives, never questioned Jesus with nagging feelings, keenly observed Jesus deal with all cadres of people and sometimes had questions within themselves what manner of man Jesus was that even nature obeyed Him.

They saw Jesus exorcise, drive out evil spirits from people. They saw the power in action and nevet broke away from Him to go and start their own fellowships, they never challenged their Master nor equate themselves with Him rather they humbly submitted, and had a teachable spirit and were learn to be like Him.

That’s why after Jesus’s ministry of 31/2 years with them,He could trust them and hand over all the power and authority that was with Him from the Father to them now for they had become true students and true disciples of Jesus.

Think of this as i close up my thought for the week.

How much have you walked with the man/woman of God,learnt from them?followed them faithfully and in sincerity of heart?completely and unreservedly submitted to him or her and waited for the mantle to be released to you at the opportune time?

Wait on God!

There are those times that have to wait for either somebody or something. And during such times,a number of things are likely to happen and among such could be;become very apprehensive, anxious, nervous, fast heart beat, sweating, confusion, temptation to quit, fearful, discouragement, and the list goes on and on.You can easily identify from the list where you fall and in very limited instances,a few find the right tone and courage to wait patiently and indeed they get what they waited for.

David the king has the answer to such scenarios in Psalms 27:14 and reads “Wait on the Lord;Be of good courage,And He shall strengthen your heart;Wait I say.on the LORD”.

This is my take for you today that as you step out into that perceived unknown future

-Please Wait , stay put patiently as you wait for the Lord to come to your rescue or word of next course of action to take.

-Don’t fret, become apprehensive, fearful, doubt or lose your cool.Speak to “you”and tell “you”relax, this will be over soon and all will be normal.

-Get assurance that in the midst of this,God will strengthen your heart and you shall hold your peace and marvel at His doing.

Finally,i charge you my reader that the one who resides in you is greater than the one who is in the world simply paraphrased “The internal always will conquer, win the external” if resisted.

Let me hear you say “I OVERCAME AS I WAITED ON GOD!!!”

Stay on Course

Many times people tend to be derailed from their primary focus in life mostly by failing to remind themselves every morning as they wake up that they have a mission to pursue today and speak it forth. At the end of the day they are supposed to sit down and take a thorough review of what was achieved in line with the set goals at the start of the day.

I take this time to challenge myself and you my reader that it is time to start afresh and promise yourself that you will stay on course no matter how busy your schedules could look or appear to be.This promise MUST be your number # 1 priority daily at the start and end of each day.At the end of one month evaluate your progress and you will be amazed to see how much progress you would have made in moving closer to your destiny or purpose.

See you next month for an update of your personal experience.

What’s your view?

Psalms 118:24 reads “This is the day that the Lord has made,we will rejoice and be glad in it”

When you wake up in the morning and see the sun’s rays beaming ,what first comes into your mind ?The answers could be many depending on your perspective, expectations, day’s obligations, state of mind and many more other reasons. The psalmist gives us a blueprint on how we are to approach each day by him reminding us that each day is a gift from God extended to us.He therefore reminds us to be thankful and grateful for that day  and be happy in our souls that a gift has been extended to us that we didn’t ask in the first place.

So rather than seeing a new day as a bother and murmurings, grumbling over how we feel tired or don’t want to start it,let’s appreciate it and thank God for it for there are any who anticipated to see it but it never came to pass.

A season to reflect

Easter Holiday is one of the busy time in any calendar year that so many Christians observe as a season that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ went through grueling and very humiliating times. He was rejected and denounced by His own people and ended up on the cross and subsequent death on the cross.

What if indeed we took a moment to reflect sincerely on the rejection, humiliation, betrayal, pain, stress and imminent death in the very presence of HIS accusers. Had the grave held Him completely without His resurrection, then our believe, Trust and hope in Him would be a thing of the past with complete lose.

But thank God that Jesus accomplished the following on the cross;

-He conquered satan and his evil powers.

He gave us assurance of life forever more.

He set an example of an overcomer, and so we are already over comers and victorious.

His accusers, and the entire world acknowledged and still continue to acknowledge of HIS Sovereignty and Power.

Death has an end, even if it deprives us of our joy sometimes. We will live to say “Death where is your sting”?

New beginnings ahead!

When the Lord lays a vision in your heart, know for sure that this is the beginning of greater and better days ahead if only you understand the preparation of the vision and its manifestation. The Lord spoke to Habakkuk in 2:2 “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it

So take the initial basic lessons to kick start your process thus;

  • write it down
  • make it as plain and simple as possible
  • take into consideration the reader of the vision to grasp it easily
  • once he/she gets it clear, he/she will run with it
  • it moves from you(me)to we(us)
  • vision helpers(destiny) appear
