So what happens ?

-When you plan to do certain tasks within a certain period of time only to realize the deadline is either here or past and you didn’t do the assignment.

-When you promise your friend(s),family member(s) or spouse that you are committed to fulfilling a promise but only to realize that you didn’t do your math well before you gave your word,how do you proceed from here ?

-When you promised your children that if they scored the right marks and improved on their grades,you will do anything they ask of,and when they keep their part of the deal and come to you with what you had asked them to do,your face now turns pale,sulky and starts looking for reasons and excuses why you can’t keep your word. So,what happens then with them and you?

-When you didn’t have that wife,husband and struggled alot and appeared miserable, but when you met her/him,your promises were over the roof how your were going to be there for them come rain come sunshine,till death do you part,but no sooner things started shaping well on your side excuses and reasons increased daily why you think you made a mistake or there is too much doubt with this relationship now.So,what changed for sure?

-Last but not least, when you were jobless,only knew one meal in a day,lived in that single iron sheet room with no basic amenities, and walked almost with a mental breakdown, but decided to seek prayer(s) at the church and you made all the vows to God on how if He remembered you,you would stay in His house and tithe faithfully to the church because it stood with you in time of need,but as soon as the Lord laid His favor and grace on you and things started turning green on your side,you quickly forgot that it’s only fools who make vows and fail to fulfill them and God is never pleased with them.So, did you lie to man or God and when did God become your contemporary to play around with?

My final question to you now is

What is really making us do all these kind(s) of somersault, foolish things and how do we expect by any chance that our integrity and character won’t be questioned by the very people whom we first portrayed ourselves to as keepers of our words and actions?

There is Still Hope!(Ezekiel 37:1-10)

We live in times that a lot of people have either lost hope or almost in the process of losing hope to live for tomorrow and the days ahead. This is because we face severe challenges, circumstances or situations that seem too complex and seem to defy logic. Many times as human beings, we want to figure out things by ourselves and the trajectory they are likely to take. But unfortunately that is not how they work in the spiritual realm.

The hand of the LORD came upon Ezekiel the prophet and the Spirit of the Lord set him down in the midst of the valley of the dry bones. And the Lord caused him to pass by them all and indeed they were very many and very dry. Asked by the Lord whether these bones could live, Ezekiel responded “O Lord God, You know”. How could you have responded if this question was posed to you? Maybe most likely by saying its impossible!

The Lord said to Ezekiel “Prophesy to these bones,and let them hear the word of the Lord”.Whose word do you use to speak to your dry things, circumstances in your life?.The Lord’s word was that “Surely,I will cause breath to enter into you.and you shall live,I will put sinews on you,will bring flesh upon you,cover you with skin and put breath in you,and you shall live “then you shall know that Iam the LORD.Understand friend that restoration,revival is a process and must not be confused with what many think and imagine that they can turn on and off God when they want to their demands met.God is a timing God and has an opportune time for everything.

So Ezekiel prophesied as commanded by the Lord and there was a noise and suddenly a rattling ,and the bones came together ,bone to bone. A valley that was full of very dry bones, suddenly there appeared to be some movement, hope and life as sinews, flesh and and skin covered the dry bones. Does this seem like revival, restoration time was here and what could you have done if it was you present?

The Lord said to Ezekiel, prophesy son of man to the breath, and say to the breath, thus says the Lord O, breath, Come from the four winds breath on these slain, that they may live. So as Ezekiel ,prophesied as commanded by the Lord, breath came into them ,they lived and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. What could you have done after seeing all this and bearing in mind that it was initially a valley full of very dry bones?

Relevant lessons from this story;

-There is no situation, challenge, circumstance in your life that can defy God.

-God wants you to acknowledge that He is the one who knows the condition of every situation in your life.

-We are limited to what we know and must turn to God for help.

-God wants your participation in the revival, restoration process(He wants you to take the first step and then He takes up from there to end).

-Hope, restoration is a process that follows God’s laid down procedure(dry bones,sinews,flesh,skin,and finally breath)

-It is in our valleys that God starts the hope and restoration process.

-Our valleys,are God’s starting points to cause things happen in our lives.

-Without valleys, we can not acknowledge God’s divine power of restoration and hope.

-Turn every valley in your life, family, marriage, children, business, ministry to God and watch what the LORD is going to do to you.

HOPE IS REAL!!

Wait on God!

There are those times that have to wait for either somebody or something.And during such times,a number of things are likely to happen and among such could be;become very apprehensive,anxious,nervous,fast heart beat,sweating,confusion,temptation to quit,fearful,discouragement,and the list goes on and on.You can easily identify from the list where you fall and in very limited instances,a few find the right tone and courage to wait patiently and indeed they get what they waited for.

David the king has the answer to such scenarios in Psalms 27:14 and reads “Wait on the Lord;Be of good courage,And He shall strengthen your heart;Wait I say.on the LORD”.

This is my take for you today that as you step out into that perceived unknown future

-Please Wait , stay put patiently as you wait for the Lord to come to your rescue or word of next course of action to take.

-Don’t fret,become apprehensive,fearful,doubt or lose your cool.Speak to “you”and tell “you”relax,this will be over soon and all will be normal.

-Get assurance that in the midst of this,God will strengthen your heart and you shall hold your peace and marvel at His doing.

Finally,i charge you my reader that the one who resides in you is greater than the one who is in the world simply paraphrased “The internal always will conquer,win the external” if resisted.

Let me hear you say “I OVERCAME AS I WAITED ON GOD!!!”
